About Lemon Aide Consulting

Owner Amy Lemon is on a mission to provide to others what she and her siblings were able to give to their mother - peace of mind in a safe, organized, and cozy home. Amy was committed to honoring her mother’s desire to prepare for aging and declining health. She helped her mother downsize, move and age in place in her new home. It took research, networking, expertise, patience, and coordination to fulfill her mother's wish. This is the origin story of Lemon Aide Consulting. Services aren't limited to older clients. Lemon Aide Consulting also helps prepare for all types of transitions including the arrival of newborns, pets, long-term guests, empty nests, retirement and disabilities at any age. Services are conducted in each client's home or business. We come to you wherever you are within the United States. During her 25-year career at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Amy worked in several pan-institutional offices including the Archives of American Art. She has a vast and deep knowledge of the Smithsonian. This allows her to collaborate regularly with Smithsonian experts in the fields of art, crafts, furniture, architecture, philately, numismatics, science, geology, history, the humanities, culture, horticulture, music, libraries, archives, preservation and conservation. Amy has a BA in fine art and an MA in psychology. Although not a licensed counselor, Amy has extensive training and experience in mental health resources and uses a solution-focused approach to address life challenges. She incorporates scientifically backed methods to help clients get unstuck so they can unclutter, organize and enjoy their living environments where everything their eyes fall on provides pure pleasure. Amy also has extensive experience with writing, editing and helping clients in their homes and businesses to organize, downsize, archive, digitize, secure, preserve, conserve, repurpose, repair, donate, dispose of, and sell their personal effects making everyday life run more smoothly.
